About Surgeries

There are a few things you need to be aware of before surgery.

1. You may not eat or drink, not even water, after midnight! Your surgery will probably be canceled if you do.

2. You must be at the Surgery Center an hour before your scheduled surgery for a pre-operative exam by the facility's anesthesiologist.

3. You may wear a wedding ring, but please leave all other jewelry and valuables at home.

4. Wear simple, loose fitting clothes that will be comfortable following surgery. A robe and slippers are also suitable.

5. Notify your physician if you develop any physical problems such as a sore throat, fever or cold.

6. You must make arrangements for someone to drive you to the Surgery center and to drive you home afterwards. We will cancel the procedure if you arrive at the facility without someone to drive you home. Most patients remain at the facility for approximately three hours from their initial check-in.
